President of Resilient Infrastructure Group, Bill Brennan oversees corporate development and partnerships for the company’s investments in wastewater, water, low carbon transportation, and other types of resilient infrastructure.
Prior to joining Resilient, Bill spent three years as a Senior Strategic Advisor to Equilibrium’s Wastewater Opportunity Fund I and a Principal in the Water & Wastewater Opportunity Fund II, working closely with the Funds’ senior management. In addition to his role at Equilibrium, Bill also served as a Strategic Advisor & Director at Maryland Capital Management, developing and successfully launching a “watershed” equity, long-only investment strategy.
Bill has over 35 years of complimentary experience in executive management, portfolio management, project finance, venture capital, and day-to-day financial and operational responsibilities with an emphasis on water, waste, and infrastructure. He has served as the CIO at Summit Global Management ($1B+) and Co-CIO of Ultra Capital (~$200M) and was the sole portfolio manager and launched the U.S. and Global Claymore/Guggenheim Water UITS, the Praetor Global Water Fund in Europe, and the Kinetics Water Infrastructure Fund in the U.S. (five-star Morningstar Fund). In addition, Bill currently serves on the board of EnviroMix Inc.
Prior to becoming a direct investor in the water sector, Bill was an analyst covering the environmental technology, water, and waste sectors for Pacific Growth Equities in San Francisco. He presently serves as the Chairman of Ocean Exchange, a Trustee at Waterkeeper Alliance, and the Dean’s Advisory Board-School of Global Environmental Sustainability at Colorado State University. He is passionate about how capitalism and technology can transform our world and make the best use of our greatest assets such as water, energy, and agriculture.
Bill earned an M.B.A. from the Villanova School of Business at Villanova University, a M.S. in Mechanical & Biomedical Engineering (Tau Beta Pi) from the Walter Scott Jr. School of Engineering at Colorado State University, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering/Biology minor from the P.C. Rossin School of Engineering and Applied Science at Lehigh University.
